Support Gary Kent in the 2011 Chicago Marathon

Past Marathons:
Chicago 2010
Marathon Time Goal:
4:30
Reason for SCIS:
26.2 miles always had seemed like a stretch for me. However somewhere during the months of my training I had this revelation: succeeding in marathons is all about work and commitment. Your effort drives your expectations and improves your results. Last October I completed my first marathon.
Is the repair of spinal cord injuries within our reach? Absolutely -- if we commit to continue the necessary research. This marathon is still ahead of us. One day science and medicine will have produced healing therapies – it’s just a matter of how soon. Critically needed funding will speed this day when people walk (and run!) post-injury.
I am so happy and grateful to be on SCIS team again this year. I hope you will support me or any of team members in this important fundraising effort. Thank you for your advocacy of the SCI community!
